Sensitivity Awareness Leadership Development Program

One of our most sought-after programs, this initiative is highly regarded by both employers and participants. It is designed for employees or leaders who have been found to violate an organization’s harassment policy or engage in behaviors negatively impacting others. Often utilized post-investigation, this program helps employers fulfill their due diligence requirements.

The program is now available in a virtual format, consisting of 1.5 days of sessions spread across three 2-hour segments, with optional additional coaching if needed or requested.

The facilitator for this unique program is Jennifer Pernfuss (LL.B., ORSCC, TIPC), the founder and Principal of RESPECT. With extensive experience and expertise, Jennifer skillfully leads these sessions.

The agenda for this special program will be provided following the initial consultation.

Respect in the Workplace Training

Our “Respect in the Workplace” training for employees and leaders is a highly engaging, interactive session that stands out for its unique trauma-informed approach. Unlike traditional programs, we go beyond simply outlining legal rights and obligations and what constitutes workplace harassment. We explore behavior on a spectrum, considering both intention and impact, while delving into the anatomy of unwanted conduct and the often-overlooked role trauma plays in shaping the experience of workplace interactions.

This innovative approach helps participants understand how past experiences can influence behavior and responses, offering a deeper, more empathetic perspective on workplace dynamics. By incorporating trauma awareness, we empower employees and leaders to foster respectful, empathetic relationships and address complex challenges in a more informed and sensitive way.

Executive Respect in the Workplace Training

Our Executive Team training program typically runs 2 to 2.5 hours and facilitates a high-level, in-depth dialogue on critical topics such as discrimination, harassment, workplace violence, and toxic work environments, all within the framework of relevant policies and legal statutes. The session covers key policies and explores resolution options, while also fostering respectful relationship-building skills, awareness, and effective strategies for addressing and resolving concerns.

Rather than a lecture-style format, the session encourages active participation and open dialogue. Given the sensitive and complex nature of these issues, this approach helps create greater alignment within the Executive team and reinforces their commitment to maintaining a harassment-free workplace.

Workplace Harassment Toolkit™

Introducing the Workplace Harassment Toolkit™, a compassionate and practical resource designed to empower HR professionals and leaders with the skills needed to effectively address harassment complaints thoughtfully and resolve them early, avoiding an unnecessary escalation. Our unique trauma-informed approach takes into account the emotional complexities of these situations, offering a holistic way to manage them that encourages low-level resolution.

Testimonial

From a recent participant in our Sensitivity Awareness Program

Jennifer helped me work through a work situation that shook my confidence and threatened my passion for my work. Those unintended by-products of a workplace investigation, limited my ability to gain insight and learn from the experience. Jennifer skillfully set the conditions for insight. She replaced distrust with trust, fear with hope and led to insights which strengthened me and restored my confidence. She helped transform a difficult issue into one rich in learning.
